PwC will develop a new logistics network for Ukrposhta

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has won the European Investment Bank (EIB) tender aimed at engaging international consultants in development of a new logistics network for Ukrposhta.

With the technical assistance of the EIB, Ukrposhta will continue its infrastructure renewal. Within the next 6 months, international consultants will develop detailed investment cases for transformation of the current Ukrposhta’s logistics network that consists of 35 sorting centers and more than 200 transport parking sites.
Using a specialized software and taking into account the estimated volumes and quality level standards the experts will suggest the best location for the sorting centers as well as their production capacity and reasonable automation level. The investment needs and their payback period will be estimated accurately. It is important that the cases, created within the project, will get forthwith review and appraisal of the Luxembourg based technical experts of the EIB, that is considered as one of the potential investors

Under the terms of the tender PwC consultants will develop several alternative options for a new logistics network structure that will be modeled using a specialized software.

The project will last for 6 months and, upon its completion, an investment case will be created that can be funded by the European Investment Bank along with the other international organizations.

To participate in the bid, companies applied for participation by June 18, all tender offers were accepted until July 2 and on July 4 the tender offers were opened.
