In the run-up to the high season, Ukrposhta and eBay launch a joint support campaign for Ukrainian SMEs
To prepare for the high season, Ukrposhta and eBay have launched a joint campaign to support Ukrainian exporters. All entrepreneurs that register on the platform in the period from October 25, 2021, to the end of the year will receive unique benefits.
Businesses clients receive a 0% fee for the first three months for the store on eBay, increased listing limits, as well as a training course and customized support by a personal manager, who will help to set up a store and promote the goods. The individual clients have special conditions too as 200 free listings and dedicated support for eBay Team. To benefit from this special offer from Ukrposhta and eBay, exporters just need to follow the link and fill in the form.
The campaign to support the entry of Ukrainian exporters into international markets is one of the components of the cooperation program between Ukrposhta and eBay. In 2022, Ukrposhta is going to strengthen the integration with the marketplace to make the pre-registration of all types of postal items through Ukrposhta services more convenient for customers. Currently, customers can pre-register postal items and fill in customs documents in the Online Personal Account on web site of postal operators or through the API. Next month’s online payment is going to be introduced, so that customers can pay the cost of delivery immediately.
"Ukrposhta systematically supports Ukrainian entrepreneurs. We understand how attractive eBay is for Ukrainian SMEs because this marketplace allows sellers to get more profit than other platforms. This is why Ukrposhta and eBay are launching a large-scale long-term program aimed at helping Ukrainian exporters enter international markets through eBay. Ukrposhta works in two directions: we will improve delivery services having at the current moment direct contracts with 15 would-wide airlines and the special program of charter cargo flights to the United States, And the second one, is that we invest in free active training and informational events to share the best practices for current and potential sellers,” commented Igor Smelyansky, Ukrposhta CEO
"Currently, more than 11,000 Ukrainian entrepreneurs are selling on eBay – during the past year, the increase accounted for 14%. The marketplace allows them to sell to an audience of more than 159M buyers, located all over the world, with top buyers’ countries being the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and ensure business continuity under any circumstances.
We observe the great potential of the Ukrainian market and, from our side, constantly enhance eBay’s offers for local SMBs. From May 2021 eBay started to manage payments for Ukrainian sellers, which provides entrepreneurs with a more convenient way of doing business on the platform. Now we are happy to launch a collaboration with Ukrposhta, which aims to provide Ukrainian entrepreneurs with unique benefits and support," stated Jenny Hui, General Manager, eBay Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Global Emerging Markets.
For the local exporters, eBay provides an informational hub, export.ebay.com, which contains the most useful insights and news both in English and Russian.
Ukrposhta consistently supports Ukrainian exporters, in particular, by offering special conditions for the registration of stores in partnership with marketplaces. In addition, E-Export School from Ukrposhta has been operating for 5 years already, providing comprehensive information about working with different marketplaces. In particular, Ukrposhta and eBay have already told about new Payoneer payment solutions for eBay and delivering goods to customers through eBay.
Since 2020, Ukrposhta has delivered more than 5 million kg of export postal items to international destinations. This is a collaborative achievement of the postal operator, key marketplace eBay, and Ukrainian entrepreneurs that sell on international platforms and select Ukrposhta to deliver goods to their clients.
Ukrposhta at the current moment has direct contracts with 15 airlines and the special program of charter flights to the United States, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of international postal items to the USA and all destinations.
